Unsere (10) ist eine hochwertige high-quality UV protection cream with excellent tolerance, die mit ihrem sun protection factor 50+, das gesamte UV-Spektrum mit einem modernen Filtersystem sowohl gegen UV-B- als auch gegen UV-A-Strahlen abdeckt. Unser Schutzsystem kommt ohne die weißelnden physikalischen bzw. mineralischen Komponenten Titandioxid und Zinkoxid aus.
UV-B
The higher-energy UV-B rays dringen im Wesentlichen nur in die Oberhaut (Epidermis) ein und können dort als Akutschaden einen Sonnenbrand verursachen. Im Verlauf können UV- B-Strahlen die Ursache für chronische Hautschäden mit Ausbildung bösartiger Hautveränderungen sein.
UV-A
The lower-energy UV-A dringen deutlich tiefer bis in die Lederhaut (Dermis) ein und verursachen keine Akutschäden. Sie können aber chronische Hautschäden wie bösartige Hautveränderungen verursachen und sie beschleunigen auch die Hautalterung mit Elastizitätsverlusten, einem beschleunigten Kollagenabbau sowie Ansammlungen von minderwertigem Bindegewebe in der Lederhaut („solar scarring“).
In addition to its high-quality blend of broad-spectrum filters, the product also contains vitamin E as an important antioxidant and the biomimetics rosemary for broad cellular protection, as well as sunflower oil as a nourishing active ingredient carrier.
It is free from octrocrylene, which is currently the subject of controversy for its potential impact on health, and it is "Coral Reef safe", i.e. free from ingredients that can damage the delicate eco-systems of marine environments. The product is vegan and free from synthetic fragrances, silicone, parabens and mineral oils.
Sun Protect is suitable for all skin types, i.e. dry and sensitive, as well as combination and mature skin. The product can be blended with the Face Care Light, Medium and Rich creams and has excellent compatibility with the skincare products previously used. It leaves the skin feeling pleasant after application.
As with all products in the Prof. Dr. Steinkraus range, 1 Euro of every Sun Protect product sold goes to the Lüneburger Heide Nature Conservation Park Foundation to rewild the upland moors.
